NVH Engineer

NVH Engineer

Role & responsibilities:

  • The NVH test engineer defines, plans and executes NVH testing activities including NVH results analysis and communication of results and recommendations. This includes:
    • Define and prepare the test based on needs of the projects, with support from the NVH project leads
    • Practical test execution: instrumentation, acquisition set-up
    • Post-process the test data & analyze the results
    • Create the test report and communicate the results with the team
  • You are working closely with the NVH team (NVH project leads, CAE engineers) to support the ongoing product development in the Business Units.
  • You support the maintenance and development of NVH testing processes to improve output quality and efficiency

Education and qualifications:

  • Engineering degree (mechanical, mechatronics, automotive or equivalent).
  • More than 3 years of experience in NVH testing and analysis for automotive and/or powertrain (geartrain, e-drive) with focus on problem analysis and resolution.
  • You are able to plan & execute the complete testing process, starting from understanding the project requirements, test definition, instrumentation and acquisition, results interpretation, solution proposal and reporting

Skills and competences:

  • You are well organized and have strong analytical and communication skills.
  • You are able to work independently in a multidisciplinary team of design and evaluation members. You are driven and able to engage other team members to move the project forward
  • Technical background on automotive and transmission NVH is required.
  • Knowledge of Siemens Simcenter Test.lab is a strong advantage. Knowledge of Canape, Matlab and/or Python is a plus
